Enrollment (Domestic)
Recruitment: strengthen pipeline through more aggressive funnel management (FYR/TR)
- Extended FA15 scholarship deadline from Nov. 1 to Nov. 9 to drive additional applications
- Continued distribution of 2014-15 scholarship award letters
- FAS presentations for Senior Days and High School College-Going Events
- Final Nov. 1 email and call reminders to apply
- Visit programs: Senior Day on October 27 and November 3, Black Leadership Symposium on October 29, Fraternity Experience Night in Overland Park on November 5
Retention Management: increase first-year rate to 90%, six-year graduation to 70%
- Continued outreach with current students with outstanding FA14 balances to explore additional financial aid options for educational funding
Technology: establish systems and structures necessary to achieve enrollment results
- EM meeting is to discuss tuition, fees, course scheduling, course calendaring, billing and financial aid packaging parameters for CLAS UG degree-completion program development
- EM meeting to discuss how we can continue tracking FAS scholarship recipients for the Scholarship Datamart and for packaging purposes as institution moves to ‘opt in’ compact
- KULC/KUMC FAS meetings to maximize technology by exploring options for KUMC FAS processing services to merge with KULC FAS processing
Yield Management: solidify/improve yield rate from admit to enrolled
- Invitations to LEAD program sent to admits with select criteria

Traditional Recruitment Activities: increase and diversify investments
- The Hobson’s CRM now has a total of 23,624 prospects and inquiries for 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 AY entry.
- A number of successful campus visits hosted for international students & families, including a Chinese high school counselor & her family from the High School affiliated with Dalian University of Technology. Her high school participated in the training for high school counselors organized by the US State Department in Shenyang Province, China in which Interim Director Johnston participated last March.
