Enrollment (Domestic)
Recruitment: strengthen pipeline through more aggressive funnel management (FYR/TR)
- 2013-14 Affordability publication finalized and delivered to the printers
- Proofed publications for 2013 recruitment cycle
Retention Management: increase first-year rate to 90%, six-year graduation to 70%
- Finalizing as many pending 2012-13 aid packages to ensure anticipated aid is reflected on as many FA12 bills as possible
Technology: establish systems and structures necessary to achieve enrollment results
- KU Affordability website updated with 2012-13 tuition and fee rates and new 2013-14 scholarship matrix
Yield Management: solidify/improve yield rate from admit to enrolled
- Scheduling FAS move to the KUVC and Templin (October, 2012)
Enrollment (International)
Recruitment: enhance Unit's planning and accountability
- Began a collaboration with Graduate Studies to develop a joint international graduate student recruitment plan and leverage resources from the International Recruitment and Partnerships office and the Office of Graduate Studies
- Started a policy review regarding English proficiency expectations upon matriculation for sponsored international graduate students with an aim toward ensuring sponsored students have the funding needed to complete their KU degrees
International Partnerships: establish collaborations and articulation agreements
- Upon budgetary approval, have begun implementing a faculty and departmental grant program to facilitate new partnership development with institutions of higher education abroad
Visiting Student Programs: develop and implement
- Agreement is now being drafted for a new visiting student program with Arturo Prat University, Chile for students studying to be teachers of English as a Foreign Language
Traditional Recruitment Activities: increase and diversify investments
- September recruitment trip to South America under the auspices of EducationUSA is in planning. The trip will include visits to 6 countries in South America and enable KU to meet with prospective students, education officials in the respective countries with funding programs for sponsored students, and with institutions that KU is developing visiting student programs with. Countries include Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina, Columbia, Peru, and Chile.
