Enrollment (Domestic)

Recruitment: strengthen pipeline through more aggressive funnel management (FYR/TR)

Enrollment (International)

Recruitment: enhance Unit's planning and accountability

  • Initial draft of a new International Student Recruitment Strategic Communication plan has been completed and reviewed. Plan is now being finalized for implementation.
  • Final training on the Hobson's CRM system has been scheduled for International Recruitment and Admissions Staff (January 7th).
  • Developing a prospective student outreach approach for students whose TOEFL scores are submitted to KU. Need to identify students who are graduate and undergraduate prospects so that separate approaches can be tailored. Developing an email to this targeted group to solicit the information needed to have them coded appropriately in KU systems.

Traditional Recruitment Activities: increase and diversify investments

  • Spring 2013 admits now total 290 (up 5.8% from 274 in Spring 2012).
  • April 2013 Recruitment Trip in planning mode for Saudi Arabia (April 16 – 19).
  • Group convening to consider collaborative recruitment approaches in China. Collaboration will include East Asian Studies, Center for Global and International Studies, East Asian Languages and Cultures, and International Programs.
