KU’s Research Caliber: strengthen skills and retain top performers
- Hired Jim O’Malley for full time Award Processing Services team
- Post Award Services is at full staff for first time in over a year
- Held second “Research Administration 101” class (39 enrolled)
Pursue System Improvements: implement tools that increase faculty and administrative efficiency; collaborate with KUMC where feasible
- Continuing implementation of AR/BI systems
- Continue to evaluate effort reporting system for compliance with Uniform Guidance
- Continue to improve sub-recipient monitoring for A133 compliance requirements in Image Now
- Continue dialogue with SSC regarding training of staff
KUCR Efficiency: strengthen operations, processes, and overall effectiveness
- Pilot workflow for close letter process scheduled for October 2014
- Continue dialogue and plans for implementing a new PI delegation process for approving transactions
- Will be sending PAS members to NCURA Fundamentals workshop in October
