KU’s Research Caliberstrengthen skills and retain top performers

  • Launched Proposal Evaluation & External Review (PEER) program to pay $500 for expert external review of proposals before submission to sponsors
  • Hosted Huron webinar on the Uniform Guidance
  • Held Thursday Research Topics (TRT) session on Proposal Development with the Office of Research Development
  • Held two class sessions of Research Administration 101
  • Linda Sadler, Alicia Reed and Kristi Billinger attended COGR

Pursue System Improvements:  implement tools that increase faculty and administrative efficiency; collaborate with KUMC where feasible

  • Conflict of Interest training has moved to the CITI platform. CITI presents a user friendly interface and integrates with e-compliance. Users can login using their KU credentials via Shibboleth thanks to Richard Walker’s efforts
  • Training by Huron is continuing for the billing team on the AR/BI system.  New business processes and policies are being developed to complement the new system

KUCR Efficiencystrengthen operations, processes, and overall effectiveness

  • The Award Processing Services and Huron continues to set up awards and pay special attention to ensure that thorough and complete documentation for this process exists
