- A bid was awarded for a PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable and Billing consultant. This project will provide a system to ensure the timely and accurate billing of sponsors. The agreement to implement a Conflict of Interest system is still in progress. However, technical and functional resources are already working with the vendor to plan the implementation.
- A meeting has been scheduled with KUMC research leadership to discuss a joint system implementation (Pre-Award, Post-Award, Conflict of Interest, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), etc.).
- Senior RGS leadership has created a metric initiative that will measure the effectiveness/efficiency of staff related to most major transaction types (proposals, awards, payables, etc.). The goals of this initiative are: provide RGS staff with productivity targets; build a platform for external stakeholders that provides process transparency (e.g. ability to see where an expense reimbursement is in the approval process); describe seasonal variances for each transaction to level-set expectations.
