KU's Research Caliber: strengthen skills, technology, and retaining top performers

  • No current updates

Pursue System Improvements: implement tools that increase faculty and administrative efficiency; collaborate with KUMC where feasible

  • KU Lawrence went live with the Click IRB module on June 17, 2013. KUMC's go live is targeted for July. This concludes a six month, bi-campus implementation period.

KUCR Efficiency: strengthen operations, processes, and overall effectiveness

  • The new Click IRB system is optimized by the adoption of a toolkit designed to streamline the study submission and approval process.
  • RGS is assisting investigators with monitoring and assuring compliance with the PHS Public Access Policy in order to more efficiently process NIH Progress Reports and ensure awards are not delayed due to non-compliance. An initial report on non-compliant publications from the Public Access Compliance Monitoring (PACM) system has been run and investigators associated with those publications have been notified. Pre-Award Services will continue to assist PIs in bringing their publications into compliance with the PHS guidelines, and will begin running quarterly reports in PACM beginning in August of 2013.
