KU’s Research Caliberstrengthen skills and retain top performers

  • Held Thursday Research Topics (TRT) session on “The Affordable Care Act” (31 attendees)

Pursue System Improvements:  implement tools that increase faculty and administrative efficiency; collaborate with KUMC where feasible

  • RI is working with KUMC to update and improve the FCOI training module, currently in Rocket Ready.  We’ll be switching to CITI training with a KU section applicable to both campuses.  An advantage of the CITI training is that it will automatically feed training into the eCompliance system, making checking training faster and more accurate for research administration staff.

KUCR Efficiencystrengthen operations, processes, and overall effectiveness

  • Research Administration and Research Integrity have collaborated to create a compliance checking position that will facilitate compliance reviews for sponsored projects, including speeding award set up, and assuring accurate associations between compliance protocols (or management plans) and specific projects.
